Jim Martin Scholarship is open for 2024

The Jim Martin Scholarship is currently accepting donor and student applications.

The Jim Martin STEM $1000 Scholarship is named for the chief engineer of the Anthem Veterans Memorial. This scholarship honors his mathematical and engineering talents and his dedication to the Anthem community. Mr. Martin volunteered to serve as the chief engineer for the Anthem Veterans Memorial project. He developed the engineering specs, secured permits, determined material requirements, and served as the project manager for the build. His efforts guaranteed the key functioning elements of the Memorial so that at 11:11 a.m. on each Veterans Day (November 11), the sun’s rays shine a solar spotlight on the Great Seal of the United States. Jim Martin's expertise and volunteerism exemplify the importance of sharing one’s talents with the community.

The Jim Martin Stem Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship to two graduating high school students who reside in Anthem, AZ and have excelled in mathematics and exemplified service to the community. The Anthem Way Foundation and two donors provide the scholarships.

Student application deadline is April 12, 2024.
