Kids dance, neighbors visit and the park rocks during Music in May in Anthem.
Held every Friday night in May in the Community Park Amphitheater, this FREE family-friendly event invites the community to grab a blanket, bring a picnic dinner and enjoy the diverse sounds of local Arizona bands underneath the Anthem sky. Food trucks will be on site the first and last week for food purchases.
Open to the public; free admission and parking.
2019 featured bands
May 3: Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns (Food Truck Friday)
This band got their start in Phoenix, AZ in 1990 as the three-piece Cold Shott Blues Band. Now, Cold Shott and the Hurricane Horns is one of Arizona’s longest-running, successful entertainment ensembles, having been wowing Arizona audiences for 29 years.
May 10: Neon
Dedicated to delivering the best musical experience every time they take the stage, Neon has performed for the biggest names in the corporate world, countless weddings and every nightclub that seeks quality live entertainment. This band brings world-class talent, experience and know-how to every show.
May 17: Radio London
A high-energy dance-pop band, Radio London has decades of combined professional experience. Get ready to dance and have a good time when Radio London plays your favorite songs from the 60s to the present, satisfying everyone's taste with quality hits!
May 24: Rhythm Edition
Rhythm Edition is an all-variety party and show band with seven lead singers, each with their own style of vocals. This band brings the party to the party!
May 31: City Nights Band (Food Truck Friday)
This band plays greats from Bruno Mars to the Beatles, Michael Jackson to Journey, and Pink to the Band Perry! Their music is designed for every taste in music, and most of all, keeps you on the dance floor! An evening with this talented and versatile group is the perfect way to close out our 20th anniversary year Music in May series. Food trucks confirmed are Biscuit Bombers, Wandering Donkey, The Cool Spot, and Just Chillin' Ice Cream.
