If you are over 50 and live in Anthem YOU ARE! GGG is a great way to meet people, make friends, take trips, play games and participate in activities of YOUR choice. There are no dues and no meeting obligations. Just come and be part of our community.

Zumba Gold

Movin’ & Groovin’ is an exercise class for the active older adult. Class uses chairs, bands and hand weights to help build strength and balance. Movin’ & Groovin’ will be held in the upstairs classroom in the Community Center. The first class is free, but following that a punch card will be needed to continue.

Bocce Ball

Bocce is a fun way to spend your morning. No skill is needed. Bocce is a good way to get exercise and have fun outdoors. It requires walking, bending, and throwing a ball. We have no set teams and are noncompetitive. We generally play at 8:00am at the upper soccer field, but as the exact time and place can change due to field conditions, contact Patty at 623-328-7648 for current information.

Golden Go-Getters, we have board games and card games galore, including poker. If you have a favorite, bring it along. You are sure to find someone who shares your interest, and please, bring a snack to share.

Come and play with us every Monday, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center Game Room. All Go-Getters are invited. Games and cards are provided by the Community Center. The Community Center provides coffee for your enjoyment, as well. Please bring a snack to share. If you don’t find a game you like, bring your own game and start your own group. We hope to see you there!

February Potluck

Join us for our February pot luck at the Anthem Community Center. Since it is Valentine’s Day, we will have a Valentine theme. Bring your Valentine and your favorite accompaniment, large enough for 12 or more adults. If your last name begins with: A-F, please bring entrees; G-M, please bring desserts; or N-Z, please bring salads or sides. Condiments, beverages and table service will be provided. With the permission of the Community Center we have upped the admission to 90 people. 90 tickets have been printed for this event. Spring Fashion Show by Dress Barn

Sorry guys, this one is not for you. Girls, you are invited to a fashion show at Cafe Provence on Tuesday, February 28 at 12:00 p.m. The show features fashions by Dress Barn and a luncheon. Entrees include your choice of Avocado Chicken Salad, Chicken Caesar Salad, Charbroiled Sirloin Bistro Burger or Penne Primavera. Trip to Las Vegas
