Anthem Veterans Memorial Ceremonies

The award-winning Anthem Veterans Memorial, a project of the Anthem Community Council, is located in the ACC Community Park, North Gavilan Peak Pkwy, in Anthem, AZ.

The Anthem Veterans Memorial Support Team (AVMST), an affiliate group of the ACC, is composed of volunteers who assist in fundraising, programming, and community outreach specific to the AVM. They, in collaboration with ACC staff, plan two commemorative Ceremonies per year that honor local veterans at the Memorial in the ACC Community Park:

  • Memorial Day Ceremony
  • Veterans Day Ceremony

For specific information on upcoming ceremonies, sign up for AVM eNews, check the online calendar, or visit the Anthem Veterans Memorial section.

About the Anthem Veterans Memorial:
The Memorial was dedicated November 11, 2011 and received Arizona Historic Landmark status six months later. The five pillars, symbolizing the five branches of the Armed Forces, are designed with elliptical openings. At precisely 11:11 a.m. each Veterans Day (Nov. 11), the sun's rays pass over the five pillars as the ellipses in each of the pillars form a perfect solar spotlight over a mosaic of The Great Seal of the United States.
